The application Tax Calc (developed by Steven McTainsh, and offered as an iOS, iPadOS and macOS application) is provided on an "as-is" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, either expressed or implied. The developer does not take any responsibility for the legal consequences associated with the use of the application, and urges you to seek independent legal advice ensuring compliance with all rules applicable to income tax and value-added tax in your tax jurisdiction. The developer of Tax Calc can in no way be found liable for any direct or indirect damage/loss suffered by any individual or company due to the use of this application. Any calculations provided by the app are intended as a guide only.

Tax Calc uses Firebase Remote Config to remotely update income tax and value-added tax (VAT) rates, without requiring an app update. This service collects your IP address as part of a request to update this information, but does not collect any personally-identifiable information.

The application is intended for use by tax residents of New Zealand only.
